Creating FMX Integration Mappings

How to connect Bound venues, facilities, and facility spaces to FMX buildings/resources for automatic scheduling.

The FMX Integration Mapping allows you to link your Bound venues, facilities, and facility spaces to their corresponding locations in FMX. By entering the correct FMX Venue, Facility, and Space IDs in Bound, any schedule created in Bound will automatically generate a schedule request in FMX.

When multiple facility spaces are selected in Bound, multiple schedule requests will be created in FMX, one for each mapped space, without manual entry.

Note: To enable your account for Integration Mappings, you need to contact your Bound Director or Onboarding Specialist to ensure the integration is setup.

Getting Setup

  1. Your Bound Director or Onboarding Specialist will request you to provide the appropriate FMX credentials that are required to connect your account with Bound.

    1. Best Practice: Create a "Syncing User" account. (A "Syncing User" account is an FMX account set up specifically for the purpose of providing FMX login credentials to Bound.)

    2. Provide the username and password for this Syncing User to your Bound Onboarding Specialist

  2. Once these credentials are updated within Bound, your Bound Director or Onboarding Specialist will notify you that you can begin the next steps below.

Mapping Venues

  1. Begin by logging in and going to the “Venues” tab on your dashboard and selecting the venue you want to sync.

  2. From there you can select the “Settings” tab and under details there will be a place where you can enter your FMX Building ID.

  3. The ID you want to enter here is the corresponding ID from FMX. In FMX, navigate to “Buildings” and select the corresponding building. which is found in the URL of your venue in FMX. Enter this ID and click the “Save” button in Bound. Once you have saved this ID, any time you schedule the whole venue in Bound, a schedule request will be made in FMX.


Mapping Facilities

  1. In order to sync your facilities you will need to go through a similar process. Navigate to “Facilities” within your venue and select the facility you wish to sync. From there you will be able to enter a FMX ID which you will get from FMX by navigating “Resources & Locations,” selecting the corresponding facility, and retrieving the ID from the URL. Once you have entered the ID, click the “Save” button in Bound.

Mapping Facility Spaces

  1. In order to sync facility spaces, you will go through the exact same process in FMX. To locate the area to enter your facility space ID in Bound, navigate to the facility where the space is located and scroll down until you reach “Facility Spaces.” Click to edit the facility space you want to map and enter the ID found in FMX in the provided “FMX Resource ID” field. Once you have entered the ID make sure to click the “Save” button in Bound.


Summary of Mapping Venues, Facilities, and Facility Spaces

  1. Locate the “FMX Venue ID” or “FMX Resource ID” field in Bound under settings (for venues) or when editing (for facilities and facility spaces).

  2. Navigate to the corresponding Building/Resource in FMX, and retrieve the corresponding ID from the URL.

  3. Once you save the ID in Bound, any events scheduled at these mapped locations will show up in your FMX account as schedule requests.
