Who this is for: School administrators and managers who schedule competition events in Bound. |
Important: You need admin or manager-level access to schedule events. If you don't see the Events page or Add Event button, contact your school's Bound administrator. |
How to Schedule a Game
1. Click Events in the left sidebar, then click + Add Event in the top-right corner.
2. On the New Event page, make sure Schedule By School is selected, then click + Add Event under School Competition Event.
3. Find your team in the list and click the green + button next to it. Teams are organized by Girls, Boys, and Extracurricular.
4. In the Away section, use Search for Team to find your opponent. If your team is the away team, click the swap arrows between Away and Home.
5. Check Exhibition/Scrimmage, Conference/District/Division, or Neutral Site if any apply. Add an optional Caption (e.g., "Senior Night") for calendar context.
6. In the Sessions section, set the Date, Start Time, End Time, and Location. Click Set Location(s) to change the venue.
Tip: Click "Add New Session" if the event has multiple time slots (e.g., JV at 5:00 PM and Varsity at 7:00 PM). |
7. Verify the Hosting section (your school is the default host), add optional Tags, and click Create Game.
How to Schedule a Meet (Cross Country, Track, Swimming, etc.)
Meet-based sports work differently β instead of one opponent, you add multiple participating schools. When you select a meet-based sport, Bound automatically opens a New Meet form instead of New Game.
1. Follow steps 1β3 above, but select a meet-based sport (e.g., Varsity Boys Cross Country). The form will say New Meet at the top.
2. Enter the Event Title (e.g., "Conference Championships" or "Drake Relays"). Add an optional Caption and choose the Category from the dropdown.
3. Set the Date, Start Time, End Time, and Location in the Sessions section.
4. In the Participants section, your team is already listed. Use the Away / Home toggle to set your status, then use Search for Team to add every other school in the meet.
Tip: Add as many schools as needed β each appears with its own Away/Home toggle. It's easiest to add all participants before creating the meet. |
5. Set the venue host in the Hosting section, add optional Tags, and click Create Meet.
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between a Competition and an Event?
A Competition is a specific game or meet where results can be entered. An Event is the calendar container that holds one or more competitions. When you schedule a game or meet, you're creating an Event with a Competition inside it.
βWhat if I can't find my opponent in the search?
They may not be in the Bound system yet. Contact your Onboarding Team or Bound's Support Team. You can still create the event and add the opponent later.
