Managing Schedules on the Events Page

Introduction to using the Events page to manage your schools schedules.

Updated over a year ago

The Events page is your schedules hub for managing schedule information. The Events page features many different scheduling tools depending on what you're scheduling and how you need to do it.

To start, it's helpful to understand the difference between Competitions and Events

Competition - A competition is a specific game, match, or meet that results can be entered for like scores and stats. Previously in Bound it was only possible to create competitions. Competitions live within an Event.

Event - An event is anything that shows on your school's schedule. An event can have a single competition under it, or several depending on the situation. An event can also not have a competition associated with it. This allows you to include things like school board meetings, prom/homecoming, practices, and anything else you'd like to show on your public or private school calendar.

Managing Schedules and Events

The Events page is your master schedule for your school. This populates the public pages on Bound, your schools public activity calendar, and integrates with other features like Ticketing and Facility Manager. The events that already show on your schedule can be accessed by clicking the Manage button on the event, and within that the competition(s) and other event details can be accessed.

To add events to your schedule, on the Events page click "Add Event" in the top right corner.

There are 2 main ways to add events to your schedule. Each way has specific scheduling tools to accommodate various scheduling scenarios.

  • Schedule By School - add any type of event to your school schedule

  • Schedule By Team - add events to your schedule within the context of a specific activity (this option is replacing the program level scheduling and works very similarly)
