Connecting a Credit Card Reader to Post-Season Events

How to connect Bound credit card readers for post season event ticketing

This is only required for schools that:

  • Don't use Bound Ticketing for regular season games, but have Bound credit card readers from past postseason events.

  • Use Bound Ticketing for regular season games, but use their own Stripe account to process transactions.


1. Navigate to the events page in Bound.


2. Find the IGHSAU event and click the ticket icon and select “Setup”. Then click on the yellow "Add Reader" button.

***NOTE*** You will only be able to proceed from here if the opponents in the bracket have been set. Tickets and card readers can not be attached to the event until the actual opponents are determined.

3. In the top right of the screen click on “Manage Terminal” and select "Add Reader".

4. On your credit card reader, swipe from the left edge on the screen to the middle and that will open a menu with a button that says "Settings". Click the "Settings" button.

Enter the Admin Pin 0-7-1-3-9

5. Click "Generate Pairing Code"

6. Back in the Add Reader page in Bound, enter the pairing code produced on the reader into the Registration Code box. Name the reader. Typically we recommend naming it in an identifiable way with the school name and reader number (Example: North Scott 1).

***NOTE*** After the completion of your postseason events, schools that use their own stripe account for regular season ticketing will have to re-connect their readers to their accounts.
