Adding Practices

How to use Bound's practice generator to add practices to a team's schedule.

Adding practices to a team's schedule is quick and easy in Bound. When you add a practice to a team's schedule it will add that practice to your team's schedule, your school's Bound public calendar and create a facility reservation.

Note: Practices can also be created from Facility Manager, and the practices created there will also add that practice to your team's schedule, your school's Bound public calendar.

How to create practices from the Activity and Level area.

  1. Navigate to the program and level within the activity you wish to schedule practices for and click on "Practices".

  2. Click on the "Add Practice" button. This launches the Practice Generator.

  3. Enter in the specific details for the practice(s) you wish to create. You can create a single practice or schedule a batch of practices, depending on the settings you choose to enter.

    Settings Include:

    1. "Practice Title" - The system will generate an automatic title reflecting the program you have selected to enter practices for.
      >>Customize this title as needed to reflect the team or level participating.
      IE: You may be entering Freshman Team practices - the title might look like this: GBB FR Practice or GBB Freshman Prac.

    2. Select the "Date(s)" you are entering - choose from two different formats:

      1. Click on each date from the calendar displayed to add that date(s) to the practice entry.

      2. You may also click on "Recurring Weekly" to generate multiple practices over a span of time.

        >This will reset the page allowing you to choose a range of dates, give a standard start and end time.
        **You must check the box on the days of the week you want your practices to be held on.

    3. "Location" - Select the location(s) of where your practices will be occurring. This will reserve that space on the facility calendar when the practice entry is saved.

    4. "Teams". - Select which teams and levels will be participating in these practices.

    5. "Visibility Settings" - Select where your practices will be seen.

      1. "Publicly Visible" - This setting controls whether your practices will be seen on your team page(s) on your public gobound.com site under the practice tab.

      2. "Show on School Public Calendar" - This setting controls whether your practices will be displayed on your school public calendar.

  4. "Additional Notes": Enter any additional notes that need to be communicated. These notes will display on the gobound.com public page under captions and will be listed in the Notes section on the Admin Facility Calendar.

  5. When all your settings are correct, click on "Generate Practices." This step will create your practices for a final review before submission.

  6. Review the generated practices and make changes as needed in each separate practice listing.

    1. If there are no schedule conflicts with your practices, you'll see a green box confirming facility availability.

    2. If there are schedule conflicts with your practices, you'll see a red box that indicates that this practice conflicts with a previously scheduled event.

  7. If all practice details look good, click on "Submit Practices" to schedule all these practices.

  8. Each individual practice will then be added to your team's practice schedule page and your school's public calendar based on your specified settings.

How to create practices from Facility Manager

  1. Click on "Venues and then on "Reservations."

  2. Click on the "Create New Reservation" button and select "Create Practice"

  3. Click on the "Program" dropdown to select the program you are creating practices for. Then click "Start Application"

  4. Go to Step 3 in the previous section and proceed through the same set of steps to set your practice details and then schedule your practices.
