How does BovaRefill keep my account secure?
BovaRefill uses multiple security features to help protect your account and transactions, including your password, Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), and Transaction PIN. Advanced users can also manage API Keys from their profile.
What is Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?
Two-Factor Authentication adds an extra layer of security to your BovaRefill account. In addition to your password, you will need a verification code generated by an authenticator app when required.
How do I set up Two-Factor Authentication?
1. Go to Profile on your BovaRefill account.
2. Select Two-Factor Authentication under Security.
3. Select Activate.
4. Enter your BovaRefill password and confirm.
5. A QR code/setup key will be provided.
6. Download an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator.
7. Add BovaRefill to the authenticator app by scanning the QR code or entering the setup key.
8. The authenticator app will generate a 6-digit verification code.
9. Enter the code on BovaRefill and complete the activation.
What is a Transaction PIN?
Your Transaction PIN is a security code used to authorize transactions on your BovaRefill account. It helps prevent unauthorized transactions even if someone gains access to your account.
What is an API Key?
An API Key is a unique security credential that allows an authorized application or developer to securely connect to and interact with BovaRefill’s services through its API.
Should I share my password, Transaction PIN, 2FA code, or API Key?
No. Keep your security credentials confidential. Do not share your password, Transaction PIN, 2FA codes, recovery codes, or API Keys with anyone.
What should I do if I suspect unauthorized access to my account?
Change your password immediately, secure your 2FA, and contact BovaRefill Support through the available support channel. If you have an active API Key that may have been compromised, revoke it.
