BoxCast offers a storage billing option for assuring unlimited storage of videos beyond your plan's free storage duration. It is important to note that Auto-Bill is the default storage policy when you first subscribe to a BoxCast streaming plan.
The free storage durations for each BoxCast streaming plan are as follows:
Basic Plan: 30 days
Standard Plan: 90 days
Deluxe and Advanced Plans: 365 days
4K and Premium Plans: 30 days for 4K video, 365 days for all other resolutions
Understanding How BoxCast Bills for Video Storage
Your free BoxCast storage is provided in a rolling window. This means your free storage doesn’t begin from the moment you sign up with BoxCast, rather each broadcast has its own free storage window that begins from the start time of the broadcast. When Auto-Bill is set for your storage policy, a broadcast is automatically billed per broadcast hour once it has exceeded your plan's free storage duration. BoxCast's storage billing rate is $0.49 per broadcast hour.
As an example, your Standard plan includes 90 days of storage and you stream a one-hour broadcast on July 1st. If the broadcast has not been deleted by October 1st (whether manually or your storage preference is set to Auto-Delete), you will receive a storage invoice for $0.49. As recorded broadcasts continue exceeding their 90-day storage window, your storage bill can easily grow month over month.

Avoiding Storage Charges
Storage can get expensive fast, so we suggest the following tips if you are interested in avoiding the added expense.
1. Auto-Delete would be the ideal selection for your storage policy. Broadcasts will be automatically deleted once they've exceeded their free storage duration.
Switching from Auto-Bill to Auto-Delete during a billing period queues applicable broadcasts for deletion, but will still result in the broadcasts being billed for the period, simply at a lesser prorated amount.
2. Download or export your broadcast recording after the broadcast has aired. You may then manually delete your broadcasts before they are billed OR set your storage policy to Auto-Delete.
3. Delete broadcasts that aren't as important, such as test broadcasts or redundant broadcasts. As an example, you may broadcast an early morning worship service and a late morning worship service, so perhaps you delete one and pay storage on the other.
Deleting applicable broadcasts during a billing period will still result in the broadcasts being billed for the period, simply at a lesser prorated amount.
4. Schedule live-only broadcasts if no need of their recordings. This would be done when scheduling your broadcast.
