How to Add Assignment Rules in Brand Central

Assignment Rules allow you to automatically route leads to the correct sales representative based on defined criteria such as location, project type, and more.

Follow the steps below to create or update Assignment Rules in Brand Central.


Before you begin

  • You must have access to Brand Central

  • Assignment Rules work as an “AND” condition, not “AND/OR”

    • Example: If you select Member Location and Project Type, only leads that meet both criteria will be assigned


Step 1: Access Brand Central

  1. Log in using your Brand Central credentials


Step 2: Navigate to Assignment Rules

  1. Click the Leads section in the left navigation

  2. Select Assignment Rules from the dropdown


Step 3: Create a new Assignment Rule

  1. Click Add New in the top right corner of the Assignment Rules page

  2. The Edit Assignment Rule modal will open


Step 4: Select a Sales Representative

  1. Click the Rep field

  2. Choose the sales representative you want this rule to apply to

    • You can assign multiple reps to the same rule if needed


Step 5: Define the Assignment Criteria

Use the dropdown fields to define when leads should be assigned.

Member Location

  • Select entire states
    or

  • Expand a state to select specific cities only

Optional Filters

You may also add additional criteria such as:

  • Project Type

  • Phase

  • Firm

⚠️ All selected fields must be met for the lead to be assigned.


Step 6: Save the Rule

  1. Review your selections carefully

  2. Click Submit to save the Assignment Rule


Helpful Tips

  • Assignment Rules apply only when all conditions are met

  • If a lead does not match a rule exactly, it will not be assigned

  • You can edit or download Assignment Rules at any time from the Assignment Rules page
