[Clevertap] How to contact people who have done a class, routine, challenge or course

You can send push, email or in app message

You can use CleverTap to send targeted messages through Push, In-App, or Email to users who have engaged with specific content, such as a class, routine, course, or challenge. Follow the steps below to create a campaign targeting these users.

Step 1: Start a New Campaign

  1. Go to your CleverTap dashboard and click Campaigns from the left-hand menu.

  2. Click + New Campaign and select the channel you want to use: Push Notification, In-App Message, or Email.

Step 2: Choose the Targeting Type

In the Start Here section, select Past Behavior. This allows you to target users based on actions they have taken in the app.

Step 3: Target Users Who Have Done a Class or Routine

  1. In the Who section, choose Target Segment and select Who have done All (AND) of these events.

  2. Select Event Name = Content Started.

  3. Click + Filter, then select Event Property > Name.

  4. Enter the class or routine name you want to target.

  5. Click Calculate on the right to see how many users match your criteria.

TIP⚡️ You can select the timeframe in the event to see when the users did this class or routine


Target people who have done a course or challenge

To select people who have done a course or challenge, select the following under Who > Target Segment:

  1. In the Who section, choose Target Segment and select Who have done All (AND) of these events.

  2. Select Event Name = Course Progress.

  3. Click + Filter, then select Event Property > Name.

  4. Enter the course or challenge name you want to target.

  5. Click Calculate to see how many users have started that course or challenge.

OPTIONAL: Contact users who have completed a specific day

You can select to message only users who have completed certain number of days of the challenge progress. To do this :

Target based on event:

  1. Event name: "Course Progress"

  2. Event Property: Name: Select name of the course

  3. Event Property: Day: enter day number + condition

TIP⚡️ You can select the timeframe in the event to see when the users did this class or routine
