Breakthrough 6.3 is Here: Custom Challenges, Routines & More!

Breakthrough 6.3 is officially live—and this release is all about personalization and flexibility. With three exciting new features, users can now take more ownership of their journey inside your app. Whether they’re looking to stay consistent, create structure, or tailor content to fit their goals, this update makes it easier than ever.

Check out this video from Sunny, Breakthrough CEO, on 6.3!

🔁 Log Off-App Sessions

Your users can now manually log sessions outside the app to keep their streaks and stats accurate. Whether they attend an in-person class or go for a walk, they won’t lose progress in their profile. This update helps users feel more in control of their experience and less penalized for mixing in offline activity.

  • Where it appears: On the Profile screen

  • What it tracks: Session name, time, and contribution to streak/total session count

🏆 Custom Challenges (User-Created)

One of the most requested features is now live! With Custom Challenges, users can create their own challenges using your app’s content. Whether they want to commit to 10 minutes of meditation each day or a 7-day flexibility series, it’s all up to them.

This turns challenges from a one-way offering into a user-driven experience, deepening engagement and building ownership.

  • Where it appears: Under My Library (label customizable)

  • How it works: Users name the challenge, choose a cover image, and select sessions from your content

  • Why it matters: Custom challenges support habit formation and give users a reason to come back daily

🧩 Custom Routines (User-Created)

Already using routines in your app? Now your users can, too.

With Custom Routines, users can create their own flows or workout sequences using your exercises. They can customize duration, reps, rest time, groupings, and even reorder items—just like you can in the Partner Portal.

  • Where it appears: Also under My Library

  • How it works: Users name the routine, select exercises, and configure the flow (time/reps, rest, etc.)

  • Why it matters: Ideal for users who want structure, this feature makes your content even more versatile

👉 How to enable Custom Routines and Custom Challenges in your app:

1. In the Partner Portal, go to App Settings > Home Screen > Quick Action > Enable "My Library".

2. Next, go to App Settings > General 6.0 and customize further under "My Challenges" and "My Routines"

📣 Tips to Maximize the Update

Once you’ve enabled these new features, be sure to announce them to your audience:

  • Post a short demo on your Instagram or TikTok

  • Send a push notification, or make a pinned post

  • Share the news in your newsletter

  • Mention it in an upcoming class or livestream

  • If you're a CleverTap user, send an in-app message

Your users won’t know these tools exist unless you tell them—so make some noise!
