Why run a sale on your web paywall?

We strongly recommend directing users to purchase through the web paywall whenever possible. Stripe takes a much lower percentage than Apple and Google, which means more revenue stays with you! We also recommend you send users to your optimized landing page directly once you've updated it to reflect your sale details. Users convert more easily when they understand the value of what they are buying. Your landing page gives them that time and information, which builds trust and increases conversions.

Where to find your web paywall links in the portal:

Setup & Customization > Web Paywall Builder > Overview

Types of Discounts You Can Offer

There are two main ways to run sales on your web paywall.

Sales tip: 💡 We recommend disabling your free trial for the duration of your sale. When users see a strong discount, they are motivated to buy immediately, but a free trial gives them an easy reason to postpone. Turning the trial off creates a clear path to purchase and helps you capture the urgency of the sale window. Once the promotion ends, you can turn the trial back on at any time.

You can do this in your portal under Setup & Customization > Web Page Builder > Overview > Free Trial

1. Recurring Discount Sale

A recurring discount sale is a permanent price change on a specific product. You manually edit the product price to your discounted rate and users will continue renewing at that price for the duration of their subscription.

This is ideal for seasonal promotions, price drops, or simple sales where you want the discount visible without requiring a coupon code.

How To Set Up A Recurring Discount Sale
Click here for a video walkthrough, or view instructions below.

  1. Go to Sales & Promotions > Web Paywall Pricing > Products

  2. Click the three dots next to the product you want to update and select Edit Product

  3. Change the price to your sale price

Optional, but recommended:

• Add a sales banner

• Turn on Show Old Price so users see the original price with a strikethrough

• Deactivate any non-sale products using the three dots and Deactivate to reduce buyers decision fatigue

2. Coupon Code

A coupon code can give users a discounted rate for their first purchase, for a limited number of billing cycles, or on a permanent basis.

Examples:

• 50 percent off the first month

• 40 percent off the first year

• 50 percent off for six months

• Permanent discount for the user using the forever option

How To Set Up A Coupon Code

Click here for a video walkthrough, or view instructions below.

  1. Go to Sales and Promotions > Web Paywall Pricing > Coupons

  2. Select Add Coupon

  3. Fill in coupon details

Coupon Fields Explained

Name - the code users will type in at checkout.

Percent Off - the discount percentage.

Duration Type

Once: a single-time discount. Example: 50 percent off one month or one year

• Repeating: a discount for multiple periods. Example: 50 percent off for six months

Forever: an ongoing/permanent discount for that user
Max Redemptions - how many people can use the code. In general, we recommend putting a high number here (ex: 1000 - unless you'd like to limit your offer to a smaller amount of people).

👉 Important Note About Coupons

Coupon codes cannot be limited to specific products. They apply to any product you have active.

Example:

If you offer 50 percent off once and your Lifetime product is active, the coupon will apply to Lifetime. Make sure only the intended products are active during your sale.

Preparing Your Sale: Full Checklist

Review everything below before announcing your promotion.

1. Does your landing page mention the sale?

The headline and content should clearly highlight the discount.

2. Are your images updated for the sale?

Make sure your visuals match the theme of the sale. Include the coupon code in graphics when possible.

3. Is your Call To Action sale specific?

A clear CTA increases conversions. See an example below on an easy switch!

Before:

After:

How to update these in the portal:
Setup & Customization > Web Page Builder > Landing Page

4. Have you selected the correct pricing plans for the sale?

Most partners choose to feature only Yearly and Lifetime during promotions. If you do the same, temporarily turn off any plan that is not part of the sale.

5. Have you disabled the free trial?

Free trials delay purchase decisions. During a sale, users respond best to immediate value. Consider turning the free trial off during your promotion.

How to do this in the portal:
Setup & Customization > Web Page Builder > Overview > Free Trial Period

6. Have you optimized your login page?

Add simple bullet points that remind users of the value they are receiving.

Examples:

• Unlimited access

• Entire library included

• Expert guidance

• Daily inspiration

How to do this in the portal:
Setup & Customization > Web Page Builder > Overview > Authentication Page

7. Is your coupon code easy to remember?

Short, clear codes convert best.

Examples: YOGA25, FALL40, MEDITATE50, SUMMERSALE
