Upsells are an exciting new way to make money in your app!
Utilizing upsells can entice users who may not be ready for a recurring subscription to download your app and purchase a la carte items (such as individual classes, courses, ect.), and it can entice existing subscribers who know and love your content to purchase premium add-ons like e-books, workshops, courses, ect. This is helpful in a few major ways:
those users who just won't subscribe to a recurring charge are now given the choice to purchase a la carte options that do not require an existing subscription. this is purely extra revenue!
users who are on the fence about a recurring charge but are interested in your content are much more likely to end up subscribing if they're purchasing a la carte content/spending time in your app
paid users who are already subscribed/invested can get the opportunity to purchase any additional content you're selling outside of the app all in one place! this provides a much smoother user experience.
