The community tab is a great place to see:
Latest company news: any company announcements will be displayed in this section. It's a great way to inform all people about an upcoming company event. Learn how to create a company announcement.
Recently awarded kudos: view all the latest kudos. Learn how to give kudos.
Company suggestions: people can add their own company suggestions. You can make a suggestion by clicking the icon located on the top right hand side of the page. Fill out the short form and click submit suggestion. Learn more about how to view, create, and review company suggestions.
The Community tab allows you to develop a great company culture by sharing the praise for your colleagues and how you feel you could improve your workplace.

Can't see company suggestions? If you're an admin or HR user you can switch them on under Configure > Settings > Modules, select Use Company suggestions.
