Company announcements are a great way to get information out to all your people without having to chase them individually. This will be the first thing they see when they log into their account and is visible at the top of their dashboard:
Customising company announcements header
You can customise the company announcements header by going to Configure > Settings > Change what HR users can see and do > Grapevine label. Once updated you'll be able to see the new label and the title of the announcement:
Expanding and dismissing announcements
Use the arrow icon to expand the announcement. Once you read the company announcement, you can simply dismiss it by clicking the X:
Viewing the announcements
As an HR user you can view and edit all the announcements, just go to Company > Announcements.
The company announcements page displays the published date, title, details and expiry date of each announcement. At any time you can edit (using the pencil icon) or delete (using the bin icon) existing company announcements:
Adding an announcement
Fancy adding your own announcement? Click the + button:
Enter a title, any additional details, a publish date and expiry date (optional). You can also enter a link.
If you want the announcement to go to all your people, leave the department field blank. Alternatively you can specify a certain department and the published announcement will only be visible to them.
The company announcement will then appear on the people's' dashboard as well as your own on the designated publish date:
Will my people receive an email?
Yes, your people will a receive an email to let them know a company announcement has been posted. The email will be sent on the publish date and will include a link to log into Breathe to view the announcement.
The email will be sent on the publish date and will say the following...
Subject: Company Announcement
Email: Hi (first name) A company announcement has been made, to view this message please log in to Breathe using the link below.
Note: If you post a company announcement with an incorrect publishing date, you will need to create a new announcement with the correct date, instead of fixing the existing one if you wish an email notification to be sent.
