Great news - two-factor authentication (2FA) is available within your Breathe account when Payroll is enabled🎉
In this article, we'll take a look at what 2FA is and how to set it up for added layer of security for your account.
What is two-factor authentication (2FA)?
Two-factor authentication (2FA) provides an extra layer of security by introducing an additional step when logging into an online system.
This extra layer of security often involves a second device, such as a mobile phone. As an admin and finance user with access to Breathe Payroll you're defaulted to have 2FA when accessing your account for extra layer of security.
When you log in you will see a page with instructions and QR code to help you set up the 2FA for your account.
Before an admin or finance user can log in again, you'll need to set up 2FA. Here's what you need to do:
Open your authenticator app and follow the simple instructions to set up and verify your account. Once you’re done, hit Add Account.
Then, tap the blue Scan QR code button and use the camera to scan the QR code.
Once the code is scanned, save Breathe to your account by following the on-screen instructions.
Once you’ve entered the code from the app, you'll be able to log into Breathe via the portal using your usual log in details.
Once you've set this up, every time you go to log in to Breathe after this you will not need to complete the set up again, just enter your usual username and password and enter a code from your authenticator app in the 'we're just checking if it's really you' box.
Simply enter the code from your authenticator app again, hit ‘send’ and that’s it! You're now successfully set up and logged in with 2FA 🎉
