Message Templates

Customize and save the messages you send to new hires and colleagues. Find out how to create templates in Breezy Onboard.

With message templates, you can customize and save the emails and task messages you send to new hires and co-workers. You can use message templates when sending emails from your Inbox, and when creating Request Message tasks.

If you’re an admin, you can also customize the default subject line for other emails and the invitation message that’s sent to new hires when they’re added to Onboard.


How to create a message template

Admins can create message templates in their company settings.

  1. Click the gear icon ⚙️ in the left sidebar.

  2. Click Message Templates.

  3. Click + Email Template.

  4. Enter a name for your template.

  5. Enter a subject line.

  6. Compose your message and add attachments, if needed.

  7. Click Create.

How to customize the default subject line

The default subject line will be used for all emails sent from Onboard unless you customize the subject line of a message template.

To customize the default subject line:

  1. Click the gear icon ⚙️ in the left sidebar.

  2. Click Message Templates.

  3. Scroll to Default Subject.

  4. Type your preferred subject under Subject Line.

    • To insert variables, click where you’d like to add the variable select it from the Template Variables dropdown above.

  5. Click Save Subject.

How to customize the new hire invite email

The new hire invite email is sent to employees when you add them to Onboard. You can customize the subject, header, and body of the message.

  1. Click the gear icon ⚙️ in the left sidebar.

  2. Click Message Templates.

  3. Scroll to New Hire Invite Email.

  4. Enter an Email Subject.

  5. Enter an Email Header.

  6. Enter the Email Body.

  7. Enter Button Text for the sign-in button.

  8. Click Save Invite Email.
