The Messages Center in Brevitas serves as the central hub for all communication within the platform. It is designed to facilitate seamless collaboration between internal team members, deal-specific groups, and external connections. The interface is divided into three main categories: Teams, Rooms, and People, each providing a different avenue for interaction.

Team

The Team section is where you communicate with your internal teammates or company members. Whether you’re part of a brokerage, investment team, or property management firm, this space allows for efficient collaboration.

Internal Conversations: Use this section for messaging your colleagues about property updates, internal strategy, or any team-related matters.

Search Team Members: A search bar at the top allows you to quickly find team members by typing their name or email address.

Real-Time Messaging: Conversations happen in real time, making it easy to stay up-to-date on internal discussions.

Rooms

The Rooms section corresponds to the Deal Rooms you’re involved in for specific properties. Each room is dedicated to a particular deal, where you and other stakeholders (brokers, buyers, investors) can communicate, share documents, and manage the deal’s progress.

Property-Specific Conversations: Rooms are created for each deal or property you’re working on. These conversations are focused on negotiation, document exchange, and property details.

Upload Files: You can upload documents directly into the deal room, such as contracts, offering memorandums, or other relevant files.

Access Deal Information: The Rooms tab allows easy navigation between the different properties you’re engaged with, keeping each conversation organized and focused on the respective deal.

People

The People section lists all the external contacts you’re connected with on Brevitas. These could include brokers, buyers, sellers, and other real estate professionals outside your internal team.

Search Contacts: A search bar allows you to quickly locate a contact by typing in their name or email address.

One-on-One Conversations: You can message individuals directly within this section for private communication.

Message List: On the left-hand side, a list of all your contacts is displayed. Clicking on any contact opens the conversation thread on the right, where you can review past messages and continue the discussion.

Send Message and Attach Files: At the bottom of the chat window, you can type and send messages to your contacts. There are also options to:

Flag User: If needed, you can flag a user for review by the platform administrators.

Upload a File: Easily attach and send documents to the person you’re communicating with.

Share Listing: You can directly share a property listing with a contact, facilitating quick access to specific property details during a conversation.

Chat Interface

• The chat interface is simple and user-friendly, with each conversation displayed chronologically. Messages are timestamped, and you can see the sender’s name and message content.

Upload a File or Share Listing: You can attach files or share property listings directly from the chat, making it easy to exchange key documents or information without leaving the conversation.

Flag User: If necessary, you can flag a user from within the conversation for inappropriate behavior or to report any issues with a contact.

Action Buttons

At the bottom-right of the chat interface, there are action buttons that enhance the messaging experience:

Flag User: Alerts the platform to review a user’s behavior if necessary.

Upload a File: Easily attach a document relevant to the conversation, such as a listing memorandum, financials, or a contract.

Share Listing: Directly share a listing from within the conversation, allowing the recipient to quickly access property details.

How to Use the Messages Center Effectively

Keep Communication Organized: Use the Team, Rooms, and People sections to keep communication organized. Make sure you’re in the appropriate section when discussing internal team matters, deal-specific issues, or when reaching out to external contacts.

Deal Rooms: Use Rooms to centralize deal-specific conversations, keeping all stakeholders on the same page about progress and updates related to the transaction.

Quick Actions: Leverage the action buttons to send documents, share listings, or flag users, making communication more efficient and keeping records of shared materials.

The Messages Center in Brevitas provides a streamlined communication tool for managing internal discussions, deal-specific conversations, and interactions with external contacts, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and engaged.
