Welcome to BRICKS.
This tutorial covers the second step in working with basic Bricks: learning how to configure multimedia visual Bricks. By completing this chapter, you will easily master the fundamental usage of multimedia Bricks in the BRICKS Cloud Intelligent Display.
🕐 Estimated time to complete this tutorial: 3–5 minutes
Step 1: Create a Media Box
In the previous section, we learned how to use Bricks as components. But what if you want to add images or videos?
No problem—BRICKS provides a Media Box to fulfill this need.First, save your progress, return to the Workspace Info page, switch to the [ MEDIA ] tab, and click [ New Box ] at the bottom-left corner to create a new Media Box.
A single Media Box can store multiple media assets of various types. You can use clear naming conventions to classify and manage your media assets efficiently.
Step 2: Upload Your Media Assets
Inside the Media Box you created, click [ Upload ] to upload an image and a video.
Available upload methods include:
My Device – upload directly from your computer
Google Drive – import from Google Drive
Link – upload via an online media link
Camera – capture directly using your computer’s webcam
Screencast – record your screen
After uploading, return to the application interface.
Step 3: Create Image and Video Bricks in the Application
From the Main Canvas, add an Image Brick and a Video Brick. Adjust the width and height according to the proportions of your media.
In each Brick’s property panel, locate [ Path ] and click the button on the right to open the Media Box selection interface.
Select the Media Box you created, choose the desired media asset, and select the appropriate size.
All uploaded media will automatically be converted into BRICKS-compatible formats, with multiple size options available for flexibility.
Step 4: Adjust and Review Media Placement
You can preview playback to confirm that your media displays correctly.
You may also click on the property variables of the Image or Video Bricks to view parameter descriptions and experiment with different settings to better understand their functions.
Congratulations! You have now learned the fundamental concepts of multimedia visual Bricks.
The next section will introduce controllable vector animations.
