This tutorial covers the first step in using the Property Bank: basic variable settings. By completing this chapter, you will easily master the fundamental usage of the Property Bank in the BRICKS Cloud Intelligent Display.

Step 1: Add a New Color Variable Bank
In the left panel hierarchy, locate Property Bank and click [ + ] to create a new variable bank.
In Title, enter the variable name.
Set the variable type to [ String ].
Set Kind to [ color ].
Once color is selected, a Value option for color will appear below. Choose any color, then click [ New ] to confirm.
You have now successfully created a color variable.
Step 2: Link a Component to the Variable Bank
Next, link a component on the Main Canvas to the color variable.
For example, link the component’s Background Color property to the variable by clicking the link icon beside the property.Once linked, changing the ThemeColor variable in the Property Bank will automatically update all connected components.
Step 3: Update Variable Settings and Preview Linked Components
Directly change the color value in the Property Bank, then use Play Preview to check whether all linked components update their color simultaneously.
