Groups in Weight Room Mode is only available to certain Enterprise packages. Please reach out to your organization's Account Manager for any questions about this feature.
Grouping athletes in Weight Room Mode (WRM) can help streamline sessions, boost organization, and keep your athletes moving efficiently. Whether you're managing a large team or coordinating different training needs, using the Groups feature can simplify your workflow.
This guide walks you through how to set up and use Groups effectively so you can focus on what's really important!
Ways to Group athletes
There are many ways to organize your athletes in while using Weight Room Mode.
Here are a few common and effective group setups:
1. By Weight Rack
Athletes are assigned to stations—typically 2–4 athletes per rack where the iPad or tablet is mounted.
Each group is labeled clearly: Rack 1, Rack 2, Rack 3, etc.
This setup makes it easy for athletes to pull up workouts and move through exercises as a team.
2. By Position
In team sports like basketball, athletes may be grouped by position—Forwards, Centers, Guards, etc.—to tailor workouts more specifically.
3. Injured vs. Non-Injured
Separate injured athletes into a modified workout group to work on their specialized training.
4. By Training Time
If your athletes train in waves (e.g., early morning vs. late afternoon), group them accordingly to keep your sessions organized and easy to pull up.
Toggling Between Groups
Once groups are set, switching between them is seamless:
From the top of the WRM screen, tap the Group dropdown menu.
Select the group you'd like to view.
The WRM display will instantly update to show only the athletes in that group.
Pro Tip: Swipe across from left to right to move through your groups for a wider view if you are coaching from a distance.
This makes managing multiple groups throughout a session incredibly efficient—no need to scroll through the entire roster.
