Connecting Cronometer to BridgeAthletic for Nutrition Tracking

Written by Lauren Johnson
Updated over 3 weeks ago

With the Cronometer integration, your meals and hydration flow directly into BridgeAthletic for you and your coach to view. Once connected, your coach can see your calorie and macronutrient totals without you having to log them twice.

Note: when Cronometer is enabled, meals can only be logged through Cronometer. Athletes will not see "+Log Meal" in Bridge.

Getting Started

Cronometer can be connected from two places:

  1. Member Profile

  1. Go to Profile by clicking your name→ Data Connections & Access

  2. Tap + next to Cronometer.

  3. Sign in and tap Authorize.

Once connected, you’ll see Cronometer Connected in your Nutrition tab.

Nutrition Tab

  1. Go to the Nutrition tab by selecting the apple icon

  2. Select the three dots in the top right corner

  3. Choose Connect App

  4. Sign in and tap Authorize.

Using the Integration

  • In BridgeAthletic:

    • Nutrition tab shows Cronometer as connected.

    • Manual nutrition logging in Bridge is disabled.

    • Your coach can view calorie totals, macros, hydration totals, and any comments or photos you add.

  • In Cronometer:

    • Continue logging meals and hydration as usual.

    • Bridge meal plans do not sync into Cronometer—you’ll follow your coach’s plan in Bridge.

Data Sync Details

  • What syncs: Calories, macros per meal, and hydration totals.

  • What doesn’t sync: Individual foods or meal details.

  • Sync timing: About 15 minutes after logging a meal in Cronometer.

  • Historical data: Past dates don’t sync automatically. To sync a past day, open that date in Cronometer and make a small edit (like updating water).

  • Water settings: If water from meals is syncing into your hydration totals, adjust settings using Cronometer’s Water Tracking Guide.

Data Override Rules

  • On connection day: Any meals logged in Bridge will be replaced by Cronometer data.

  • After connecting: Editing a past date in Cronometer will overwrite that day’s Bridge data.

  • Before connecting: Any data logged in Bridge before your connection date will stay unchanged.

Disconnecting Cronometer

  1. Follow the same steps listed above for connecting Cronometer to disconnect the tool.

  2. When you've select to disconnect you'll need to choose between these two options:

    • Keep synced data – Keeps your Cronometer data in Bridge.

    • Delete synced data – Removes all Cronometer data from Bridge.

After disconnecting, manual nutrition logging in Bridge is re-enabled.
