This article highlights the two ways to assign training: via the calendar and via the playlist. The main difference between these two delivery options is that one uses scheduled dates on a calendar and the other uses a dateless way to assign training.

Calendar Programs

Calendars are a great way to assign training to athletes with scheduled workout times and days. They are also a good tool for coaches to keep track of attendance and compliance.

First, you will want to assign the training program to your selected teams and individuals. Once you have created the program in your workout library you can assign the program as a calendar by clicking Assign Training.

Next, you will assign the program to the selected athletes and coaches.

You will need to choose and set the training days for your calendar program as well as the week you'd like the training to begin.

Please note that you can also adjust the workout dates on the calendar by dragging and dropping them.

Once the calendar program is assigned your athletes will be able to view their schedule on the BridgeTracker mobile app. The white dots indicate a scheduled workout. A green dot indicates a started workout, and a red dot indicates a missed workout. A green checkmark indicates a completed workout.

Please keep in mind that two weeks after the last scheduled workout day the program will be marked as complete and moved to the completed section in the program library. Athletes will be able to look back at the program on their app after it is completed but will only have access to preview and review workouts. Coaches can also review completed workouts from the athlete's calendar on the web.

Playlist Programs

Assigning programs as a playlist is the perfect way to assign training to athletes who need more flexibility in their training schedules. Once assigned, the workouts appear as a list and can be completed as the athlete's schedule allows.

First, you will need to assign the training using the same steps as for the calendar view. Click Assign Training and select the athletes and coaches.

Choose "Workout as Playlist" for this option, then select Next.

Once the program has been assigned you can view the workouts on the athlete profile page by clicking "View Workout"--this will display a list of all workouts assigned.

Athletes can view a list of their workouts on their mobile device by clicking on today's date and then selecting their workout. A green checkmark indicates a completed workout.

Additionally, there is no set end date for playlist programs. Athletes will continue to have access to their workouts even after they finish all workouts in a program or phase. If you wish to remove access, you will need to remove athletes from the program entirely or assign a new training program.

Having these two options for program delivery is helpful to assign a program based on your athlete's needs and training schedule. Once the programs are assigned, they cannot be changed from one program style to the other.
