A tablet is a great tool for coaches to keep track of their athletes.

On your tablet you will be able to do the following:

  1. Check athlete attendance

  2. View and assign programs

  3. Manage individual athletes by tapping into their Athlete Profiles

  4. Communicate with your team via the in app messenger

  5. How to train your athletes

  6. Make edits on the fly

1. Check athlete attendance:

View your entire team's attendance in one window. Completed and started workouts will appear in green and missed workouts will appear in red. You can click on individual athletes to see the specific days they missed on their calendar.

2. Manage your athletes on athlete profiles:

It's important to check in with your individual athletes to see how their training progresses. You can tap in to your athlete's individual profiles to view any missed workouts. You can also toggle between their calendar, analytics, uploaded media, and forms.

3. View and assign programs:

You can choose to see an overview of a specific training day or look over the entire assigned program. This will come in handy when you are doing a live training session and you need to see what equipment will be needed, the estimated time it will take to complete, and look ahead to future workouts or even see how the past workouts went.

Being able to assign entire programs directly from your tablet is another great feature that coaches and trainers have access to. This is helpful when adding new athletes to a team and setting them up with a program in person.

To assign training please click on the ( + ) symbol in the top right corner

It will then ask you if you would like to add the athlete to an assigned or unassigned program.

You can choose from your program library and assign the athlete that program, or a copy of the program. After selecting a program you will be able to choose whether it is a calendar or playlist workout and set a start date.

4. Communicate with your athletes using in app messenger:

You can send messages out to your entire team or message individual athletes. Please note: athletes within the same team cannot view messages being sent between coaches and individuals.

You can toggle between teams to communicate with all of your athletes.

Tap the ( + ) symbol in the top right corner to add a new message.

5. Train your athletes:

If you're working one-on-one with your athletes or as a small group you can train them live from your device. This is also useful when an athlete forgets their device. It's important to note that the view is different for an athlete on an iPad or tablet versus the phone. You will need to explain how to work through a superset block with the tablet.

Tap on the athlete's profile and select the date. This will open up a preview of the workout for that selected date. Tap "start" to begin the workout.

When the workout is complete and all data has been recorded then you or your athlete can move on to the Post Workout Form. The next step is to save and finish the workout.

Note: The above image shows workout checkmarks. This feature is only available for our platinum-level packages.

How to train multiple athletes at once:

To train a small group you will need to have multiple athletes workouts open at one time and you can toggle between them to record data like reps, weight, and make comments.

To do this, you will first need to enter weight room mode. This can be accessed by clicking on the plus icon in the top right corner when on the members or workout tab.

Next, you will be able to start multiple workouts and toggle between them by clicking on the three vertical lines in the top left corner. This will expand a menu with the athlete's names (see image below) so you can easily toggle.

6. Make edits on the fly:

Make edits to your athlete's program without needing to go back to your computer. Even if an athlete has started a program, you can make the needed adjustments whenever you need to right there on the floor.

To make edits to an athlete's workout, simply click on the athlete's name, choose the day you would like to edit from their calendar, and tap 'Edit' workout.

You can make changes by switching an exercise, edit the parameters, set prescriptions, add notes, clone, or delete an exercise or exercise block.

If you have access to our Workout on the Fly feature, learn how to get started here.

Now you should be able to successfully train your teams on-the-go with your tablet. If you have any questions you can send a message to the support team support@bridgeathletic.com.
