When creating products in your Business Hub, you can decide whether athletes join a group program or receive an individual program after purchasing. This choice affects how you manage and update programs for your athletes. By default, new products are set to group program assignments.

This article covers:

Group Program Assignment

For a group-assigned program, all athletes who purchase will be added to the same group-assigned program. This option streamlines program management when you want updates to apply to all assigned athletes, rather than editing programs individually.

When to Use Group Assignment

  1. "Hands-off" Programs: Use this for programs you don't plan to update frequently. It keeps your library organized with just one program listing, and every athlete who purchases it joins the same group.

  2. Workout of the Week Programs: Use this if you plan to add new phases or workouts at a regular cadence. This allows you to make a single update that automatically applies to all athletes in the group.

Note: Athletes cannot see who else is assigned to the same group program, maintaining privacy while enabling efficient program management.

How It Appears in Your Library

You'll see the program linked to your Business Hub. After the first purchase, the assigned program displays with the product name at the end. Each subsequent purchase adds athletes to this existing group program.

Individual Program Assignment

For an individual assigned program, each athlete who purchases receives their own separate, personalized copy with their name automatically added to the program title in your library for easy identification. Choose this option when you need to make individual updates or adjustments.

When to Use an Individual Program Assignment

  1. Personalized Coaching: Ideal for programs requiring personalized adjustments, such as injury modifications, progression changes, or specific focus areas. This allows you to tailor updates for each athlete without affecting others.

  2. Hybrid Coaching Programs: If you work with athletes both in-person and remotely, individual assignments make it easy to update programs based on their specific training sessions and needs.

How It Appears in Your Library

You'll see the main program linked to your Business Hub, plus separate individual programs for each purchase. Each individual program displays the athlete's name at the end for clear identification.

Choosing the Right Option

Consider these factors when deciding between group and individual assignments:

Choose Group Assignment if:

  • You offer standardized programs without personalization

  • You want to update all participants simultaneously

  • You prefer a cleaner, more organized program library

  • Athletes follow the same progression path

Choose Individual Assignment if:

  • You provide personalized coaching and modifications

  • Athletes have different needs, injuries, or goals

  • You want to track individual progress separately

  • You offer hybrid in-person and remote coaching

Bridge Tip: You can change this setting when editing existing products, but it only affects future purchases. Previously sold programs maintain their original assignment type.
