School Details & School Profile

Below are the steps to walk you through how to update the School Details and School Profile.

The School Details and School Profile are completed once in your School Settings and both are automatically included in the student's School Report for Common App Applications. Common App requires a School Report to accompany all applications.

Common App’s School Report form has two parts:

  1. The first part is the School Details form and School Profile. You can find and edit these in your School Settings. The school details and school profile will be the same for all students in your school and are automatically added to every student's School Report form in their Document Sending page.

  2. The second part of the form includes more student-specific questions. You complete this by filling out the School Report in the Document Sending page for each student.

After submitting the student's individual School Report, the School Details and School Profile will automatically attach to the School Report form for you and you can view the entire file by clicking "View Submission."

How to add your School Details

Step 1: On your BridgeU dashboard, navigate to your Name, click on School Settings on the right side. Next, select School Details and complete the form ensuring that you are filling in all fields.

Step 2: Once you’ve completed the School Details form, click the Save button and the School Details will automatically show on each student’s Document Sending page in the Documents overlay under the name School Details PDF.

Step 3: When you are ready to submit student documents, you will be required to complete an additional School Report form for each student.

How to add your School Profile

Step 1: On your BridgeU dashboard, navigate to your Name, click on School Settings on the right side. Select School Profile > Choose file. Before you upload your School Profile PDF, make sure the file is not encrypted and is under 2MB. Click here for an example of a School Profile

Once you select the correct school profile, click Save. The uploaded document will be attached to all applications that require a School Profile and will overwrite any documents you currently have attached as School Profiles. It will also be automatically applied to new applications.

You can click Remove to delete it, or Preview to view it first.

The School Profile will show on each student’s Document Sending page.

Troubleshooting Steps: School Details Not Saving

If you are unable to save information in the School Details/Information section, try the following steps:

  • Check all required fields: Ensure that all mandatory fields are completed correctly before clicking Save.

  • Avoid special characters: Remove any unusual or unsupported characters (e.g., symbols in school name or address fields) that may cause validation issues.

  • Refresh your browser: Clear your browser cache and reload the page, then try saving again.

If the issue continues:

  • Contact support via Live Chat or email at hi@bridge-u.com.

  • Include your school name and a screenshot of the form to help with investigation.

This should help resolve most saving issues and ensure your information is submitted successfully.
