Briink’s Good Governance Screener helps you assess compliance of your policy documents with various social and governance policies.

Currently, the tool supports the following topics:

  • Human rights

  • Fair competition

  • Taxation

  • Bribery, bribe, solicitation and extortion

These focus areas correspond to the Minimum Safeguards of the EU Taxonomy. The Minimum Safeguards requires compliance with a number of interconnected frameworks including the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, Declaration of the International Labour Organisation on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, and the International Bill of Human Rights.

Even if you are not exposed to the EU Taxonomy, performing a Minimum Safeguards assessment provides meaningful insights on the governance and social risk profile of the firm. You can learn more about the Minimum Safeguards on our blog.

ESG Policy Screener allows you to upload documents in PDF format. With ESG Policy Screener, you can run an assessment on multiple documents from the same company. This is useful if your company Social and Governance policies are stored across different documents. With multidoc functionality, you can upload, for instance, a Human Rights Policy, a Anti-Bribery and an Anti-Corruption Policy, as well as any other document that might contain important information on your company’s social and governance policies and processes in order to generate the analysis.

🚨 IMPORTANT: Running an assessment on multiple documents that do not pertain to the same company is not recommended, as it might lead to inaccurate results.

To get started, you can read the Good Governance Screener user guide here.
