Keep it PG โ€“ Set up content filtering with eero

Make sure your household internet stays safe and family-friendly by easily applying age and content-based restrictions through the eero mobile app. Here's how to get started:

Setting Up Content Filters:

  1. Open the eero App:

    • Launch the eero app on your mobile device.

  2. Create a Profile:

    • Tap the blue "+" icon on the top right corner of the Home screen.

    • Select "Add a Profile".

    • Name the profile (for example, "Kids") and assign the specific devices to it.

  3. Apply Content Filters:

    • Tap on your newly created profile.

    • Select "Content Filters".

    • Choose a filter level:

      • Adult Content: Blocks adult websites.

      • Illegal/Criminal Content: Blocks websites associated with illegal activities.

      • Violent Content: Blocks violent or aggressive material.

    • Review your selected filter level settings and tap "Apply" to save.

Block or Allow Specific Websites:

For additional control, you can manually block or allow individual websites:

  • Within your chosen profile, select "Block & Allow Sites".

  • To block a site, tap "Add Blocked Site", enter the domain, then tap "Done".

  • To allow a site (overriding other filters), tap "Add Allowed Site", enter the domain, then tap "Done".

Note: Allowing a site overrides other filters or blocks previously applied.

Adjusting Your Content Filters:

You can modify your filters at any time:

  • Open the profile, select "Content Filters", and toggle specific categories on or off.

Disabling Content Filters:

To disable filtering entirely for a profile:

  • Navigate to "Content Filters" in the profile.

  • Toggle off all active categories.

With these easy-to-follow steps, youโ€™ll keep your browsing environment secure and suitable for everyone at home.
