Step 1: Create the Guide Gratuity add-on
Before you can add a gratuity to a booking, you’ll need to set up the Guide Gratuity add-on.
Go to Products > Add-ons
Create a new add-on called Guide Gratuity
Leave the default price set to $0
Once that’s done, you’re ready to add it to a booking.
Step 2: Open the booking
Find the trip you want to update.
Step 3: Add the gratuity
Go to Manage Booking > Edit > Add-ons
Select Guide Gratuity, then enter the tip amount.
For a flat amount (e.g. $200 total):
Enter $200 and set quantity to 1For per-guide or per-boat tips (e.g. $150 per boat for 3 boats):
Either:Enter $450 total, or
Enter $150 and set quantity to 3
Step 4: Save and confirm
Once saved, the gratuity will show up on the booking. You’ll be able to charge the client or send them an updated invoice.
Payment options
Charge a saved payment method (if available)
Collect payment manually in person or over the phone
Send an updated invoice for online payment
Notes
You can add gratuity before or after the trip, as long as the booking is still open.
Brindlechute doesn’t automatically split gratuity among guides — you’ll need to handle that manually during your guide payout process.
