When will I get paid? – guide payment timing overview

Getting paid for your trips from outfitters should be simple—and we’re here to make sure you know what to expect.

When you guide a trip that was booked through Brindlechute, your payment is managed by the Outfitter. Brindlechute provides the tools to make payouts smooth and trackable, but the exact timing of your payout depends on when your outfitter initiates the payment.

Check With Your Outfitter First

Before counting the days, always check with your outfitter to confirm their payroll schedule. Once they initiate the payment through Brindlechute, it will typically arrive in your account within 3–5 business days from when the outfitter initiates the transfer.

How Long Does It Really Take?

Brindlechute uses standard banking rails to move money, which means weekends and bank holidays do not count toward that 3–5 business day window. Here's what that looks like in common situations:

If Your Outfitter Sends Payment On…

When You’ll Likely Receive It

Why

Monday

Thursday to following Monday

3–5 business days

Wednesday

Monday to Wednesday (next week)

Friday (before cutoff time)

Wednesday to Friday (next week)

Weekends don't count

Saturday or Sunday

Starts Monday → Thursday to following Monday

Processing doesn’t begin until Monday

Monday holiday (e.g. Labor Day)

Starts Tuesday → Friday to next Tuesday

Payment delayed due to holiday

Quick Tips for Guides

  • Always ask your outfitter when they process payroll.

  • Bank holidays and weekends delay things. Even if your outfitter pays on time, banks won't process transfers on non-business days.

  • If it’s been more than 5 business days since your outfitter confirmed the payout was sent, reach out to them first, then to Brindlechute Support if needed.
