Before You Refund: What to Consider

Refunds are sometimes necessary—but they come with real costs. Before you issue one, take a moment to review your options.

Try to Reschedule First

Rescheduling keeps the client, retains the revenue, and avoids refund-related fees. Most guests will work with you if you offer flexibility.

Understand the Fee Impact

  • Stripe processing fees are non-refundable. You’ll still be charged, even if the payment is returned.

  • Brindlechute booking fees are only refunded if the entire payment is reverted—not for partial refunds or adjustments.

Offer Future Credit Instead

If the client isn’t ready to commit to a new date, offer to apply their payment as credit toward a future trip. You can log this in the client’s notes and apply it as a discount on their next booking. It maintains goodwill and avoids fees.
