How to use test mode for bookings

Test Mode lets you safely practice booking workflows—notifications included—without triggering payments or affecting compliance records.

Creating a Test Booking

  1. Start a new booking by adding an experience.

  2. Enter the client, experience, client amount, and date(s).

    • The Save button (with caret) in the top right will stay grey until these fields are complete.

    • Once filled, the Save button turns black.

  3. Click the caret (down arrow) next to Save.

  4. Select Save as Test Booking.

  5. Continue to the next screen where you’ll choose:

    • Send Invoice

    • Add Trip to Calendar (no invoice)

    • Keep as Draft

How Test Bookings Work

  • Operate like real bookings (transactions process normally).

  • Booking fees do not apply.

  • Clearly separated from live bookings so you can tell them apart.

  • Notifications send as usual—ideal for training and system checks.

  • Safe to assign guides, reschedule, add items, and walk through checkout.

Important Notes

  • Use your own email or team alias when creating the test client. Real client emails will receive all notifications.

  • Test bookings won’t affect your Compliance Hub or outfitter ledger.

  • Best for training new staff or previewing communication flows.
