How to Set What Guide Details Clients can See

Choose when assigned guides appear on the client itinerary and decide whether clients can see the guide’s name, phone number, and email.

Brindlechute gives you control over how much guide information clients see before a trip. You can hide assigned guides until a certain number of days before the trip starts, then choose exactly what contact details become visible.

How to update guide visibility

  1. Click your organization name, then click Settings.

  2. Click the Client settings tab.

  3. In the Client itinerary section, find Hide assigned guides on client itinerary before trip?

  4. Turn this setting ON if you want to hide assigned guides until closer to the trip date.

  5. Enter the number of days before the trip start date when clients should be able to see their assigned guide.

  6. Under Show guide contact info, choose what clients can see:

    • Name, phone, email

    • Name, phone

    • Name only

  7. Click Update to save your changes.

How this setting works

When this setting is turned on, clients will only see their assigned guide once the trip is within the number of days you entered.

After the guide becomes visible, Brindlechute will show the contact details based on the option you selected:

  • Name, phone, email shows the guide’s full contact details

  • Name, phone shows the guide’s name and phone number

  • Name only shows just the guide’s name

Why this matters

This setting gives you more control over the client experience while keeping guide assignments flexible.

Some outfitters like to share guide details ahead of time so clients feel prepared. Others prefer to wait until closer to the trip in case assignments need to change.

Keeping this setting up to date helps you share the right guide information at the right time, while giving your team flexibility behind the scenes.
