How to handle a partial cancellation with partial refund (retaining a cancellation fee)

Client cancels part of a trip last minute, and you want to refund only a portion of what they paid-keeping a cancellation fee.

When to use:

Client cancels part of the trip, but you want to keep a portion as a fee.

Steps:

Open the booking, click Edit Booking.
Remove the service (e.g., one boat).
Save changes — Brindlechute will prompt you to enter the refund.
Enter refund amount and adjust the amount to keep back your fee and complete.

Example:

One angler cancels. The outfitter removes that boat from the trip, but instead of refunding the full $800, they refund $600 and keep $200 as a late cancellation fee.
