Completing client tasks in the guide app

Complete waivers, licenses, and questionnaires in the Guide App to keep clients compliant and ready before the trip begins.

When you open a trip in the Guide App and look under Clients, you’ll see open spots, the option to add clients, and three tabs: Itinerary, Info, and Complete Tasks (shown in black). The Complete Tasks tab is where you’ll handle client requirements before the trip.

Note: If the client has been on a trip with the outfitter this season or within the past year, check for saved waivers or licenses before collecting new ones. Use the Previous Document option to pull forward any still-valid information.

Typical tasks include:

  • Waiver – Select the waiver, tap Start Waiver, and hand the device to the client if not already signed.

  • Questionnaire – If required, complete or skip if the outfitter already has the info. Outfitters can override this later.

  • Documents – Most often a fishing license. You can:

    • Take a photo and upload directly.

    • Choose a previously saved document.

    • Add manually (ALS number, dates, address, town, state).

Need a client to complete tasks before the trip?

Clients receive their itinerary and task links in the pre-trip reminder sent ahead of the trip. If a client still needs to sign their waiver or complete other tasks and you want to send it manually, you can share their link directly: Open the trip and in the Clients section, tap Itinerary under the client's name — the link opens in your browser, where you can copy it and share it by text or email.

Each client has their own unique link, so double-check you're sending the right link to the right client.

You can also view any client notes here for quick reference. Completing these tasks ensures clients are compliant and ready for their trip without duplicating paperwork.
