Skipping checklist tasks: how it works

Skip checklists to take manual control of trip status. Perfect for outfitters who want full flexibility without automated tasks.

Where to Configure

  • Go to Experiences in your admin panel.

  • Open or create an experience.

  • On the second page (Trip States & Tasks), you’ll see a toggle for Skip Checklist.

  • Turn this on to remove automated tasks for all trips created from this experience.

How It Works

  • Skipping checklists only applies to experiences where no checklist is configured.

  • Everything else—assigning guides, setting the meetup location and time, and collecting client documents—functions the same as normal.

  • The key difference: you choose the trip status manually.

At the top of the trip screen, next to the client’s name, you’ll see a Trip Status dropdown. With checklists skipped, you can update this at any time:

  • In Progress (yellow): Trip isn’t complete. No action needed now, but stay aware.

  • Ready: Everything is prepared and waiting, but not completed.

  • Completed: Trip is finished and paid. It crosses off in your calendar.

  • Overdue: Work is still pending before this trip can be closed.

Important Notes

  • Skipping checklists does not affect payment status.

  • If you mark a trip as Completed, it will cross off in your calendar—even if payment hasn’t been received.

  • Always confirm the trip is truly done and paid before setting it to Completed.
