Check Your Permits When You Receive a Missing-Permit Alert

Missing-permit alert? Check your permit years. Most errors occur when last year’s permit is still on file—add the new year to stay compliant.

If you received an email saying a guide report didn’t go through or that you don’t have the correct permit for a trip, the first thing to do is review your permits. In many cases, these alerts simply mean the permit on file doesn’t match the year the trip was taken.

Open your Permits tab and confirm that each permit is added for the correct year. Because permits renew annually, you must enter a new permit with that year’s permit ID so Brindlechute can validate your guide reports correctly.

For example, if you hold a Madison River SRP, make sure the permit on file carries the current season’s permit ID — a permit from a previous season won’t validate reports for trips taken this year. This applies to all other permitted waters and areas as well.

Once the correct year’s permit is added, your reports will flow through as expected.
