Understand what clients see for assigned sections

Show clients where their float is planned while keeping expectations flexible. Learn how section assignments appear on their itinerary.

When you assign a section to a guide on a trip, clients can view that information directly in their client itinerary. This keeps expectations clear—especially for requested floats—while still giving you the flexibility to adjust as needed.

In the client portal, guests will open their Trip Itinerary tab. Here, they see their activity days, meetup location, trip details, assigned guides, and—within Guides & Sections—the section you’ve assigned. The displayed information includes:

  • Your section abbreviation and full name

  • Start and end points

  • The river that section belongs to

Clients also see a small question-mark icon next to the section. When they hover over it, Brindlechute displays:
“This is the section we ask the guide to use. Please note, this can change pending availability.”

This lets guests understand the planned float section while reinforcing that final decisions may shift once guides & outfitters confirm conditions and availability.
