How to override the start time while creating a booking

Adjust the trip start time during booking if a client requests a slightly different time than the standard options offered in your experience.

When creating a booking, the start times offered while you set the dates come from the time options configured on the experience. If a client asks to begin at a slightly different time, set a custom time in Per-unit details before saving the trip.

The Time & duration section of the date window offers preset options only. Per-unit details is where a custom start time can be set.

How to Override the Start Time During Booking

These steps pick up once you've added the experience and set the dates. While setting the dates, choose the preset time closest to the client's request—you'll adjust it next.

  1. Open per-unit details
On the experience line, click Per-unit details to expand the unit breakdown.

  2. Open the time panel
Click the unit's Time & duration entry, which shows the scheduled time and length (for example, 8:00 AM · 4 hours).

  3. Set the time
In Edit time & duration for trip, set the start time (for example, 8:30 AM), the duration, and any buffers before or after the trip. See Understanding Per-Unit Details When Creating a Booking for the rest of what's in that table.

  4. Apply the time to one unit or all units
For trips with multiple units, each unit's row has its own time and duration. When you've set the time, choose how to apply it:

    • Apply — updates the time and duration for that unit's row only.

    • Apply to all — updates the time and duration for every unit on the trip at once.

  5. Save the booking
Once the correct time is set, save the booking to confirm the trip.

If all units should run on the same schedule, Apply to all saves you from editing each row individually. Use Apply when units start at different times — for example, a second guide's group joining the trip later in the day.

Overriding the start time allows you to stay flexible when clients request small adjustments. This helps you accommodate special requests while still using the structure of your experience's time configuration.
