The Daily View with Assignment Timeline in the Trip Calendar helps you assign guides more accurately by showing availability based on the specific time of a trip, not just whether a guide already has another trip that day. This makes it easier to see which guides can still take another trip within open time slots.
How to View Guide Availability in the Assignment Timeline
Step 1: Open the Trip Calendar
From your Dashboard, open the Trip Calendar.
Step 2: Switch to Daily View
At the top of the calendar, select Daily view.
Step 3: Select Assignment Timeline
Choose Assignment Timeline to see the timeline view of guide schedules.
Step 4: Find Unassigned Trips
Scroll to the bottom of the selected date.
You will see any Unassigned trips listed there.
Step 5: Assign a Guide
Click the Unassigned trip, then choose Assign Guide.
How Guide Availability Is Displayed
When assigning a guide, the list of available guides is based on the time slot of the trip, not just the day.
This means:
A guide may still appear available even if they already have another trip that day.
The system checks whether the guide is free during that specific trip time.
For example:
If a guide has a morning trip, they may still appear available for an afternoon trip.
If the trip time overlaps with another assignment, that guide will not appear as available.
This makes it easier to schedule multiple trips in a day without conflicts.
The Assignment Timeline helps you schedule guides more efficiently by showing availability based on the actual trip time, making it easier to assign guides without creating schedule conflicts.
