This feature is only available when an outfitter has their Guide Assignment Mode set to By Guide's Preference. If an outfitter uses Always Direct Booking, assignments are confirmed immediately and no availability preference is needed on the guide's end.
To set your preference, go to Outfitters in 'Me' in the guide app, find the outfitter you want to configure, and click Availability Mode.
From there you'll see the outfitter's current assignment settings — including their response window and trip proximity guard window — along with three options for how you'd like to receive assignments from them:
Always Accept — All trip assignments from this outfitter are confirmed directly, no action needed on your end.
Always Requested — Every assignment requires your acceptance, regardless of how far out the trip is.
Set Requested Window — Trips within a certain number of hours or days before the trip start require your acceptance. Assignments beyond that window are auto-accepted.
This is especially handy if you're connected to multiple outfitters with different working styles. You can set a hands-off preference for outfitters you trust and a more controlled preference for those whose schedules tend to shift closer to trip time.
Accepting or Declining a Trip Assignment
When an outfitter sends you a trip assignment that requires your response, you'll see a banner at the top of your Trips list letting you know an assignment is waiting for your acceptance. The trip will show a Pending status, and you'll have two actions available:
Accept Trip — Confirms you as the guide on the trip.
Decline — Lets the outfitter know you're not available, so they can find another guide.
Your preference is saved per outfitter, so each connection can be configured independently.
