Customize Your Personal Notification Preferences as a Team Member

Each team member can control which notifications they receive, how they're delivered, and whether they hear about every booking or only the ones they manage.

Brindlechute sends team notifications for key events like payments, bookings, and assignments. While these notifications are managed at the org level by admins, each team member can customize their own preferences — choosing which notifications they receive, how they're delivered, and whether they're notified about every booking in the organization or only the ones they manage.

Who this applies to: Notification preferences are available to team members. This doesn't apply to guides — guides receive a different set of emails, configured by the outfitter. If you're a guide and want to change what you receive, ask your outfitter.

⚠️ Note: If a notification is turned off at the org level by an admin, it won't send regardless of your personal preferences. Personal settings only apply to notifications that are already enabled org-wide.

Where to find your notification preferences

  1. Click your name in the bottom left corner of the screen.

  2. Select Notifications from the menu.

Your preferences are split into two sections: My notification controls, which sets the overall scope of what you receive, and My notification templates, which controls each individual message type. Changes save automatically.

My notification controls

All notifications

Turn this off to stop receiving all notifications from Brindlechute. Leave it on to keep receiving notifications based on your individual template settings.

Only notify me about bookings I own

Turn this on to limit your notifications to bookings you manage. You'll only be notified about activity on those bookings — payments, changes, cancellations, and other updates — and you'll stop receiving notifications for bookings owned by other team members.

When this is off, you'll receive notifications for all bookings in your organization, following your org and booking-level settings.

💡 Tip: This is useful for larger teams where each person handles their own set of bookings and doesn't need visibility into everyone else's.

My notification templates

This section lists each type of message you can receive. For each one you can:

  • Toggle it ON or OFF for yourself

  • Set Send via to Email & SMS, Email only, or SMS only

Before you can receive SMS

Setting a notification to Email & SMS or SMS only is not enough on its own. You also need SMS subscription turned on in your own profile.

  1. Click your name in the bottom left corner of the screen.

  2. Select Profile.

  3. Under Basic Information, make sure your Phone number is correct.

  4. Check SMS subscription.

Checking the box confirms you agree to receive trip-related texts from Brindlechute on behalf of your outfitter. Message and data rates may apply. Uncheck it any time to stop receiving texts.

⚠️ No SMS subscription means no text — and no error message. If SMS subscription is off, Brindlechute skips the text and sends nothing. Your notification will still show as set to SMS in your preferences. If a teammate says they aren't getting texts, check this box on their profile first.
