Widget: What is possible — and what requires the bsport API

A reference guide to what can be customised in the bsport widget natively, what requires custom CSS, and what requires the bsport API for a full custom integration.

The bsport widget supports three levels of customisation: back office settings, custom CSS, and the bsport API. The table below shows what is achievable for the most common studio requests.

What you want to do

How

Reorder products / passes

✅ Custom CSS — use the order property targeting individual product IDs

Customise colours and general theme

✅ Back office: Settings > Widget > Customise theme — further refinements via custom CSS

Display passes and subscriptions together

✅ Custom Code is needed. Follow solution here

Rename labels and button text

⚠️ Some text can be overridden via CSS content on pseudo-elements — fragile and may break on widget updates. Stable renaming requires the bsport API

Customise lead form fields

⚠️ Some fields can be toggled in Settings > Widget > Lead form. Adding custom fields or changing required fields requires the bsport API

Set a default start date in the calendar

✅ Requires bsport API

Show workshop prices before login

✅ Requires bsport API

Login-free checkout for subscriptions

✅ Requires bsport API

Need full customisation?

If your studio needs capabilities beyond what is listed above — custom views, merged product types, dynamic filtering, white-label display or any other bespoke behaviour — the bsport API is the way to go.

To find out more or request API access, contact your bsport account manager or reach out to support@bsport.io.
