Bubble guidance on COVID-19
Bubble guidance on COVID-19
Updated over 2 years ago

As of the 24th February, the government has removed all domestic covid restrictions. However, the safety, health and wellbeing of all our customers, and the children in their care, is of the utmost importance to us at Bubble. Although the government has removed the legal obligation to self isolate, we would still advise Bubble users to be conscious that members of the community may have differing attitudes moving forwards.

The official guidance:

  • People who test positive for Covid are no longer be legally required to self-isolate, but they are advised to stay at home and avoid contact with others for at least five full days.

  • Routine contact tracing will end, so fully-vaccinated close contacts and those under 18 will no longer be legally required to test daily for seven days.

Our guidance:

In the interest of the personal safety of the Bubble community, we would still ask you to practice good hygiene and to communicate honestly and frankly with other Bubble users. We would encourage any users who test positive to stay at home for 5 days, and not to do any sits on Bubble.

Make sure you discuss your own requirements before a sit takes places, and your expectations around how everyone can do their part to provide the safest and best environment possible. We know that sometimes, certain conversations can feel awkward, but we urge everyone to feel comfortable and confident laying out what they need from each other. We know that this only leads to good things and a better experience all around.

Sitters

If a sitter or nanny informs us they have tested positive then we would encourage them to follow the Government's advice to stay at home for 5 full days, and not do any sits on Bubble. We will also disable their profile for 5 days and we will continue with this approach until 1st April.

From 1st April:

People with Covid symptoms will be asked to exercise personal responsibility when deciding whether to stay at home - until then they are still advised to do so.

When on a sit, please take extra precautions to ensure you and the children in your care are practising the highest levels of good hygiene.

We know things can often change quickly and at Bubble, we do our best to stay on top of new guidelines as they emerge, and will ensure that our community is kept fully up to date as things develop. In the meantime, please do get in touch with us at support@joinbubble.com if you need any further assistance.
