This article will guide you to check the signal strength of your machines
When would I want to do this?
To troubleshoot an issue with one of the machines
To check the signal strength between the MIC and the router
Example :
-30 dB = Minimal loss of signal
-40 dB to -70 dB = (average and good wifi signal)
-85 dB = (Wifi drops frequently)
Machines closer to the router will have a better ( lesser db) number due to increased signal strength however machines further away from the router may experience more signal loss (higher db).
Note: Each 3 unit is essentially doubling or halving a signal strength. For example 57db is double the signal strength of 60db.
