What's Included in the Data Retention Add-On?

Learn about Buddy Punch's Data Retention Add-On, which extends record retention for time card, time off, and scheduling data to 6 years.

Overview: Extend your compliance capabilities with the Data Retention Add-On, allowing you to retain essential records for up to 6 years instead of the standard 3 years, helping you ensure you meet record-keeping regulations.

The Data Retention Add-On is paid monthly or annually, depending on your plan's billing frequency, and costs $2.00 per user, per month.


How to Enable the Data Retention Add-On

1. Start by going to the Settings --> Billing page :

2. You can also access the Billing page by clicking your profile picture in the top right corner, followed by Billing:

3. Once on the billing page, find the Data Retention option and click Add Now:

4. You can review your change and then proceed by clicking Next:

5. As a last step, click the Upgrade Plan button to complete the process:

Important! If you're in the middle of an Annual billing cycle, we'll pro-rate your

current year and the new plan price. Details will be in the emailed receipt.

Q: What happens to my data after the add-on is removed?

A: Without the add-on, data retention reverts to the standard 3-year period, and data older than this will no longer be accessible.

Q: Can I enable the add-on for specific users only?

A: No, the add-on applies to all users in your account at the per-user monthly rate.


Q: Is this add-on available on all plans?

A: Yes, the Data Retention Add-On is available to add to all Buddy Punch plans.
