BuilderBid allows you to create, manage, and share project specifications with your team or clients. You can customize templates, add new options, and present or share specifications in both link and PDF formats. This guide walks you through managing specifications and sharing them effectively.

Steps
1. Access your Specifications
While in your project, go to the left menu and click “Specifications.”
This will load your default template for the project.
2. Customize your Specifications template
To make changes to your template:
Go to Templates & Setup.
Click on Specifications.
From here, you can add new options, re-sequence, or modify how options are displayed.
3. Add or modify options
Add a bubble: Hover over the last option and click the plus (+) button.
Settings button: Use this to add an option, reorder items, or modify display settings.
Modify rows & sections: Use the buttons on the right:
Duplicate
Add
Delete
4. Select material specifications
To select a material, click on its bubble.
It will be highlighted in green to indicate selection.
5. Share specifications with your client
Option A: Share via link
Click “Share.”
Select “Generate Link.”
Toggle “Lock for Editing” if you want the client to only view.
Click “Copy Link” and share it with your client.
Option B: Export to PDF
Click “Export to PDF.”
Save the file and send it to your client as a static copy.
