Steps
1. Verify your Cost Codes
Before exporting, double-check that the Cost Codes in BuilderBid match the codes in your Adaptive account.
Matching codes will prevent errors or unmapped items during the import process.
2. Export your estimate from BuilderBid
From the Estimate tab, click “Export.”
3. Select the Adaptive export option
Click “Adaptive.”
This will download an Excel file containing your Cost Codes and Totals for each line item.
4. Import the file into Adaptive
Log in to Adaptive.
Click the Import button.
Select the file you downloaded from BuilderBid.
Proceed through the import mapping steps.
5. Review and fix any cost code mismatches
Adaptive will display any line items or cost codes that don’t match your system’s codes.
You can correct mismatched items here to ensure accurate mapping.
6. Complete the import
Once all codes are aligned and confirmed, the estimate will be successfully pulled into Adaptive.
7. Add markup after importing
Adaptive does not bring over any markup from BuilderBid.
After the import, make sure to enter your markup directly in Adaptive.
