Version Control allows you to create and manage multiple saved versions of the same project. This is helpful when you need to explore design options: such as removing a deck, adding a bonus room, or keeping an “original” version for reference, without duplicating the entire project.

Steps

1. Locate the Version Control button

At the bottom of your project interface, you’ll find the Version Control button.

  • It may display the label Version Control

  • Or it may show the name of your current version (e.g., Original, V2 – Without Deck)

2. Understand the default version

  • Every new project automatically begins with one saved version called Original.

  • This is your base version before any alternatives are created.

3. Create a new version

When you're ready to save a variation of the project:

  • Click Capture New Version

  • Enter a version name (example: “V2 – With Bonus Room”)

  • Add a description or notes (optional but helpful for reminders)

  • Click Add New Version

4. Switch between versions

Once multiple versions exist, you can quickly move between them:

  • Click the Version Control button

  • Select the version you want to load

  • The version highlighted in blue is the one you're currently editing.

  • If you haven’t made changes, choose No, just swap when prompted

  • The project will reload with all measurements and spreadsheets from that version

6. Delete or rename existing versions

You can manage versions at any time:

  • Rename a version by selecting the Version Settings option next to its name

  • Delete a version if it's no longer needed
