The Search Library allows you to quickly add pre-built assemblies, your own saved assemblies, or individual products into any estimate. This tool helps builders and remodelers work faster by pulling in fully configured groups of items—complete with materials, labor, and measurement setups—directly into your project.

Steps

1. Open the Search Library

  • Click the name of any line item inside your estimate.

  • Hit Search Library on the left.

  • This opens the Search Library widget on the right side of your screen.

2. Browse Builderbid Pre-Built Assemblies

  • In the first two tabs, you’ll see Builderbid’s Pre-Built Assemblies.

  • These include ready-to-use groups of items organized by trade.

    • Click into any trade folder

    • Preview assemblies before adding them

    • Review what’s included—materials, labor, measurements, etc.

  • These assemblies are the same for all users and are ready to plug into any project or template.

3. Add a Pre-Built Assembly to Your Project

  • To add an assembly:

    • Select the assembly you want (e.g., Tub/Shower Tile Assembly).

    • Click Confirm.

    • The assembly will drop directly into your estimate with all its line items.

  • Most assemblies are already configured with:

    • Materials

    • Labor

    • Unit Costs

    • Blue play buttons (preconfigured measurement)

4. Make Adjustments After Importing

  • If needed, you can quickly adjust any materials or labor values after adding the assembly.

    • Update pricing

    • Change quantities

    • Modify measurement settings

  • All changes will update instantly.

5. Use Your Own Saved Assemblies (My Library)

  • Click the My Library tab to access assemblies you’ve built and saved yourself.

    • Create your own folder structure

    • Store frequently used assemblies

    • Organize them like a Google Drive-style library

  • These are unique to your account and reusable on all future projects.
