Follow the below steps to create new Products & Services.
1. Go to Products & Services -> Items -> +New
2. New Product window appears. You are now in the General tab.
3. Enter the Product/Service Name.
Note: Product name must be unique
4. Key in SKU/Code for the products. *(Optional)
Note: If you are creating a service, you can skip this step.
5. Upload the product image. *(Optional)
6. Scroll down to the Inventory tracking section. Tick Track Inventory to enable inventory tracking for the product.
Note: Once you turn on the Track Inventory, the system will calculate your stock value, quantity, and your cost of sales. (I'm selling it and I'm buying it will be turned on)
If you disable the Inventory Tracking, please tick the I'm Selling it or/end I'm Buying It manually.
7. Select an Inventory Account. You can create a new account by clicking +Add Account.
8. Key in Low Stock Level. By adding a low stock level, you will be alerted when your stock goes below the Low Stock Level. *(Optional)
9. Key in the Bin Location *(Optional).
Note: Bin location is the smallest unit of space inside a warehouse where you store your goods.
10. Scroll down to the Sale Info section. I'm Selling It is automatically turned on. Add in a Default Description for the item. *(Optional)
10. Set a Default Sale Price and Default Income Account.
11. Select a Default Sales Tax Code. *(Optional)
12. Scroll down to the Purchase Info section. I'm Buying It is automatically turned on. Add in a Default Description for the product. *(Optional)
13. Set a Default Purchase Price and Cost of Sales Account for the product.
14. Select Default Purchase Tax Code. *(Optional)
15. Scroll down to the Other Info. Write down a remark. *(Optional)
16. Scroll up and go to the UOM tab. To add a new unit of measurement for this product, click on +UOM.
Note: You can skip this step if you are creating a service.
17. Key in a name for the UOM, Set a rate, and key in the Default sale price and purchase price.
18. Click on Save and you’re done.
